Michael Jackson's Will
www.aolcdn.comThis will would be considered a Pour Over Will, which basically directs all assets not held in a Trust to be transferred to a Trust upon death. In Michael Jackson’s will, they will all be transferred to the “MICHAEL JACKSON FAMILY TRUST” as amended and restated on March 22, 2002. The terms of his revocable trust will govern the disposition of his property. I assume that most of the assets will remain in trust for his children and their children, with significant distributions to other family members and charities. The Will names Diana Ross as his successor guardian if his mother is unable to do it. This is an example of how a good estate plan may accomplish your goals and objectives and at least give the court some guidance at to what you would have preferred.
