Sarasota resident buys medical center

Sarasota Medical Center, 4450 S. Tamiami Trail, was recently purchased by Sarasota resident Glenn T. "Tom" Good Jr.

The center is a family practice clinic.

ALERT announces staffer's appointment

ALERT Protective Services in Sarasota recently announced that Jason Hamilton has been appointed to the Private Security Council of ASIS International, an organization that provides training and advocacy for security professionals.

Manatee Realtors elect board members

The Manatee Association of Realtors recently elected its board of directors: Barry Grooms, president; Cindy Greco, president-elect; Angie Cegnar, vice president; Deeana Atkinson, secretary; Leslie Wells, treasurer; Gloria Weed and Sean Averso, three-year directors; Robert Grant and Sharone Martinelli, two-year director; and Geri Kenyon and Lee Forbes, one-year director.

Officers and directors will be officially installed Dec. 5 at StoneyBrook Country Club in Bradenton.
